This was a group project at my university, the first of our third year. we were given the challenge of creating a speculating solution to reignite the sense of community within community garden spaces. Our group decided to focus on specific issues relating to people's position with community gardens, and connection with nature as a whole. Specifically, the amount of time our target audience may have in their days, a lack of space for community gardens in urban areas, and the intimidation of contributing to a public space that you may have no experience in. as such, we created Bloomerie. More than just an app, it s a community garden system, where community gardens are able to be set up on apartment roofs, with an app that allows for users to have apartment communities to track their gardening, gamify it, and allow other people in teh apartment to have a communication tool for events and such.
